Mapping the world's oceans — a blessing or a curse?

Despite advancements in mapping technology, much of the ocean floor remains unexplored due to the limitations of radar in penetrating water. The Seabed 2030 project aims to map the entire ocean floor by the end of the decade, but faces challenges including funding, political obstacles, and the potential for increased deep-sea exploitation.
