India’s bio economy has experienced tremendous growth, expanding from USD 10 billion in 2014 to over USD 130 billion in 2024, with ambitions to reach USD 300 billion by 2030. The new BioE3 policy seeks to advance biomanufacturing and supports initiatives such as the ‘Net Zero’ carbon economy and Mission LiFE, impacting sectors including food, energy, and health.
