Forest department augmenting prey base with translocation so sanctuary can sustain lions

A recent study at Barda wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat shows a lion prey density of 15 animals per sq km, with plans to introduce more prey species like spotted deer and sambar. Conservation efforts aim to support the sustenance of Asiatic lions in the sanctuary.
