A powerful summer storm sweeps through Balkans with hail, rain and winds causing damage and floods

Air Serbia experienced delays because of lightning strikes, affecting refueling operations during the storm in the Balkans, causing havoc in Slovenia and impacting neighboring countries with severe rain and strong winds. Authorities said emergency teams responded to dozens of calls while egg-sized hail and winds destroyed windshields on cars, damaged power lines and homes, gardens and farms.
