Wildfire fanned by strong winds rages uncontrolled on Greece's Serifos island

A wildfire fueled by strong winds ravaged the Greek island of Serifos on Sunday, leading to the evacuation of several hamlets. Nearly a dozen firefighters battled the blaze, with reinforcements expected. Amid hot, windy conditions, about 50 wildfires erupted across Greece. Authorities advised avoiding forests, as efforts to contain fires near Athens continued despite challenging weather.
